MIKROKOSMOS
‘Mikrokosmos’ is a performative concert, an exploration of the works of 20th century composer Béla Bartók.
Bartók’s folk songs and, the ‘Mikrokosmos’ pieces for piano,
are reimagined and rearranged for an ensemble of female singers, electronics, strings, electric guitar, mandolin
and accordion.
This performance interprets the folk song as a microcosmic form of human and storytelling experience. It is an invitation to a contemporary folkloristic journey through voice, sound and movement.
